Bradley Calls Movie Award Nominee Zach Galifianakis The ‘Toughest Guy’ Around
When we caught up with Bradley Cooper at “The A-Team” premiere last night, the actor made no bones about being squarely in the corner of his “Hangover” co-star Zach Galifianakis, who finds himself nominated for “Best Breakout Star” at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards. “No one’s tougher than Zach Galifianakis … so I don’t even try to even compare anybody,” Cooper told us.
“The Hangover” was the comedian’s biggest role to date, after a string of background appearances in films like “Below” and “Into the Wild.” Since “Hangover” became the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time, however, Galifianakis has become a hot ticket and will shortly be seen in films like the Paul Rudd/ Steve Carell-starring “Dinner for Schmucks,” as well as a “Hangover” sequel.
Zach is up against some tough competition in the category, which includes names like Anna Kendrick and Chris Pine. Have your own fave? Then head on over to the Movie Awards site to cast your vote now.
Bradley Cooper and Paul Rudd were surprised to have bagged Broadway roles alongside Julia Roberts because they felt they weren’t orthodox actors.
The pair worked with the beauty on the 2006 New York production of Richard Greenberg’s Three Days of Rain.
The duo believes their career progressed after starring in cult comedy ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ in their early days in the film industry.
“We would sit around laughing saying if we had had a crystal ball when we were shooting Wet Hot American Summer and it had told us we were going to be the two guys opposite Julia Roberts in a play, we would have thought that was crazy,” the Daily Express quoted Cooper, as telling Details magazine.
He added: “Movie stars used to be dashing, masculine, and mysterious and we’re the kind of guys that laugh at our own farts.”
I just added a photoshoot of Bradley from the June/July 2009 issue of Details Magazine to the gallery. As you know, Bradley has appeared on the June/July 2010 issue as well. I’ll add the photoshoot from that as soon as I can find it. Enjoy!

The June/July issue of Details magazine features actor Bradley Cooper looking very much like “one of the guys” in the fashion spread. Photographed by Norman Jean Roy, Cooper is presented in a very casual light, playing basketball and just seemingly having a good time. Some of his very relatable fashion for the spread comes by way of DKNY Pure, Splendid Mills, Pro-Keds, What Comes Around Goes Around and Michael Bastian, all of which lends itself nicely to the natural feel of the shoot.
Though many may view the The A-Team star as an increasing “sex symbol” in Hollywood, he’s still only coming to grips with his good looks and striking physique. In the interview with Details he expressed, “As the movie progressed, I got in increasingly better shape,” about filming The A-Team. “There’s this one fight scene with Liam Neeson toward the end, where it’s, like, the apex of the work. We finished and Joe’s like, ‘Brother, come here, look at this,’ and he played it back, and I swear to God, it looked like my head was digitally superimposed onto someone else’s body. “I was like, ‘This cannot be me—that’s the way I look?’ ” Cooper says. “It was so fucking surreal, ’cause as a kid I only fantasized about looking that way. Remember Soloflex commercials? That was huge when I was a kid. It was like, ‘I wanna be the Soloflex guy. Mom, can we get the Soloflex?’ “
You can check out the full interview in the June/July issue of Details magazine, but take a look a some of the photo spread bonus images and behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot below.

Bradley Cooper admits he’s let himself go since filming new movie The A-Team.
The hunky Hangover star got himself pumped up for his role as Face in the ’80s TV remake but says he has since lost his manly muscles.
“That’s all gone now,” says Bradley. “I’m back to my usual self.
“I could never keep that up. I look at myself in the movie and it looks like my head on someone else’s body.
“All that went away the moment the movie was over.”
Cooper recently revealed that he lost out on the lead role in upcoming flick Green Lantern because he couldn’t stop himself from impersonating Christian Bale.
“I did audition but I didn’t get it, Ryan Reynolds did,” he said.
“The trouble was that when I auditioned, it being a superhero movie, I couldn’t help but do my Christian Bale Batman voice.
“I don’t know why. Needless to say I didn’t get the job.”
